Connect OnboardTrack to your AI assistant.
OnboardTrack keeps your people, onboarding templates, tasks and progress in one place. You run it by asking your own AI assistant in plain language. You add OnboardTrack to your assistant as a custom connection.
Your server address
https://app.onboardtrack.com/mcp
Paste this into your assistant's custom connector settings. It is the same address for every organization.
Before you connect
An OnboardTrack organization
Create one, or accept the invitation a colleague sent you. Every organization gets 5 free credits a month.
Sign upAn AI assistant
Any assistant that supports custom MCP connections, such as Claude or ChatGPT.
A way to sign in
An emailed one-time code or your Google account. There is no password, and your assistant never sees your sign-in code.
Connect in Claude
Claude lets you add a custom connector on any plan. It takes about a minute.
- 1
Open Connectors
In Claude, go to Customize, then Connectors, and choose "Add custom connector".
- 2
Add the server address
Name it OnboardTrack, paste the server address from the top of this page, then click "Add".
- 3
Sign in and approve
Sign in to OnboardTrack when Claude asks, with an emailed code or Google, and approve the connection.
- 4
Turn it on
In a chat, open the + menu, go to Connectors and switch OnboardTrack on.
- 5
Check it worked
Ask: "What can you do with OnboardTrack?" Claude should describe the areas further down this page, such as people, invitations, templates and onboardings.
On a Claude Team or Enterprise plan, an owner of your Claude organization adds OnboardTrack first, under Organization settings, then Connectors. Members can connect after that.
Connect another assistant
- 1 Open your assistant's connector or MCP server settings.
- 2 Create a new remote server connection.
- 3 Name it OnboardTrack and paste the server address from the top of this page.
- 4 Complete the OnboardTrack sign-in and approve the connection.
- 5 Turn the connection on, then ask your assistant about your people.
After signing in to the OnboardTrack web app, its connect page shows the steps for each assistant.
What you can do
Every request is checked by OnboardTrack itself against the access level of the person asking, one of four fixed roles. Reading information changes nothing. Anything that changes data, sends an invitation or uses a credit is marked as such, so your assistant can ask you before it acts.
People and the team directory
Look people up, keep profiles current and set who reports to whom. Reporting lines keep their history.
Invitations and access
Invite colleagues and new hires, check, re-send or cancel an invitation, and change or remove someone’s access.
Onboarding templates
Start from a suggested template or a plan you already have, then edit or retire it. Editing never changes onboardings already under way.
Onboardings and tasks
Start an onboarding, follow its progress, complete or skip tasks (a skip keeps its reason), reassign work and cancel an onboarding that will not go ahead.
Country-specific fields
Record the government-required identifiers your team collects, such as tax or social-security numbers, for each country. Sensitive values are masked by default and every read of them is logged. OnboardTrack stores them; it does not advise on what the law requires.
Plan and credits
See your plan and the credits you have left. Every organization gets 5 free credits a month.
Example prompts
Illustrative examples. Names are made up; use your own people and wording.
-
“Suggest an onboarding template for a new sales hire. I'd like to review it before you save it.”
What happens: Your assistant shows a starter template, its stages and tasks, for you to adjust. Once you approve it, it is saved as your organization's template.
-
“Start an onboarding for Maya Chen, our new designer, starting next Monday and reporting to Sam.”
What happens: Your assistant picks the matching template and, once you approve, starts the onboarding with each task already assigned. It uses 1 credit, and the result says how many credits are left.
-
“Build me a dashboard of everyone's onboarding progress and what's still open.”
What happens: A visual snapshot headed with your organization's name: progress for each person, open tasks and who they are assigned to, and when the snapshot was taken. Nothing is changed.
-
“What tasks are assigned to me? Mark the laptop setup task as done.”
What happens: A list of your tasks, whose onboarding each belongs to and any due date. After you confirm, the laptop setup task is marked complete.
-
“Invite Jordan Lee, our office manager, to help with onboarding tasks.”
What happens: Your assistant asks what Jordan does, who Jordan reports to and what Jordan needs to be able to do, then shows you the invitation before it is sent. OnboardTrack emails Jordan a sign-in invitation.
Good to know
- OnboardTrack sends account emails only: invitations and sign-in codes. Your assistant can draft any other message and send it through your own email tool, if one is connected.
- A task can ask for a document. Attach a link to it, wherever you already keep the file. OnboardTrack stores the link, not the file.
- Ask your assistant for the view you need and it builds it from your organization's live data. Each one is a snapshot, so ask again for a fresh view. Dashboards are generated by your assistant, not by OnboardTrack.
- Plans and credit packs are bought by your organization's Owner on the Billing card in the OnboardTrack web app. Your assistant never takes payment.
- Need something that isn't listed here? Ask your assistant to send us feedback, or write to info@wisertrack.com.
Plans, credits and credit packs are explained on the pricing page.
Troubleshooting
My assistant says a feature is missing, or a tool isn’t there.
The connection is probably out of date. In Claude, open the Connectors page, select OnboardTrack and refresh it, then start a new chat. In other assistants, refresh or reconnect the connection in its settings.
I’m on a Claude Team or Enterprise plan and can’t add the connector.
An owner of your Claude organization adds OnboardTrack under Organization settings, then Connectors. Members can connect after that.
Sign-in doesn’t complete.
Use the email address you signed up or were invited with. If your code has expired, request a new one, or continue with the Google account for that address.
My assistant says there aren’t enough credits to start an onboarding.
Free credits reset on the 1st of each calendar month (UTC). Your Owner can add more by choosing a plan on the Billing card. Onboardings already under way are never interrupted.
My assistant says I’m not allowed to do something.
OnboardTrack checks every request against your access level in your organization. Ask whoever manages OnboardTrack for your organization if you need more access.
Your data
